The above image was after a sigh of relief for hurricane Nate turning just in time to have the wedding ceremony outside as planned. When we were at the getting dressed location we had to make a call on whether we have the ceremony outside or not? Keep in mind how many months goes into the design of a wedding. You as the bride wants the perfect day even though the 1% chance it won't be perfect is possible. The cross you see in the image was made by the groom's bare hands. This vision of perfection was in their minds for many months. When this silly storm rolled in, it began the interruption of the 1% possibilities. What if? No bride wants to deal with a "What if" question. You just don't want to make the wrong decision and your guests get wet!
The brides father and I were outside discussing the weather and we both decided to do the ceremony outside. He said, "She has been dreaming of this outdoor ceremony and God won't let her down...I won't let her down. He said to me, "GK ...let's make dreams come true!" I said, Lets do this!
The hurricane took a turn and we received NO rain at all throughout the rest of the event. This is story I will be talking about for many years to come. I have this crazy cool luck with rain and this story takes the cake!
