At The Beach

Well after 2 years without a vacation I'm finally here at the beach.  I couldn't wait to get here, so I could completely unwind and regroup as a human being.   HEHEHEH  At least that is my intention.  When you blow and go for so long without a break you loose yourself to some degree.  Everyday becomes a work day whether you are off or not because work is always stacking up for you to do.  The mental state of your brain is sooooooooo important for the creative mind, at least mine!

My one saving grace is how much I love what I do for a living.  The life I have with my camera is truly a wonder for how I started with ZERO and fast forward to now. I couldn't wait to go to the beach so I could relax and clear my brain in order to allow new creativity inside.  Like all things in life, nothing goes perfectly as planned when you have a really big idea. It takes planning, understanding and know how for making your plans actually come true.  I wanted to fly my drone along the beach around sunset or sunrise...left my GoPro at home...I wanted to do some time lapse video through my DJI stabilizer for my phone.....left that at home also!!!!!  ARGHHHH    My plans quickly went off kilter as soon as I opened my bags.     Hmmmmmmm

What is the Universe trying to tell me?  Either 1) I'm a forgetful idiot or 2) this break needs more off the cuff creativity rather than the planned things I wanted to do in my head.  Obviously I'm here to be on retreat for my eyes and my soul.  The one aspect I am holding myself to is capturing as many images of my kids that showcase their wonderful personalities at the ages they are right now.

This painting hanging on the wall truly sums up reality as of now. The beautiful scene has the ominous weather above it reminding you how beautiful all of it is working together.  If it was just dry weather all the time the scene would have less green grass and less water in the lakes and rivers.  The image reminds me of my state of mind as of this second.  Right beyond the dark rain clouds you can see the blue sky peaking through. The blue sky is my creative brain and the rain clouds is what I need for a chance to stop and reset. Well I'm grabbing a beer and going to sit by the pool and not think of a single thing. It just got finished raining outside, so how ironic is this blog post?  #TimeToRecharge
