Brooke

Whenever I'm creating imagery with a client, I'm always looking for new ways to see something different in places I've been to a million times before.  I love how training your eyes to "SEE" the world in different angles can help you also notice life in different perspectives as well.  This image of Brooke was exciting for me because of it's location. This is the "Band Stand" in City Park.  I have literally photographed this area a gazillion times over the last 22 years!

I was just telling a client how things happen for you on a photoshoot is will unlikely happen again for future clients. This image of Brooke had so many elements working for us.  The golden tops of garden growth because of the time of the year, the end of the day golden sun peeking through the background, the gentle breeze that helped move her veil and of course my stunning model in a dress that looks like it was made just for her to wear.

When I decided to use the architecture as a way to frame Brooke I knew I needed one more thing to help make the image pop...foreground depth of filed!  Meaning, I need something to help give the image go from 2d to 3d and the golden tops of the garden plants did the trick.  As the wind blew her veil and the plants I knew I had to kneel down low so, the garden growth would help give me depth I was looking for.   I love finding ways to get myself out of my own comfort zone so creativity can flow.

I have many more images of Brooke and Matts wedding to show off but, I have been waiting to post this image from her bridal session for almost a month now.  Their wedding was so much fun last night! :)
