Floral Art From "Fat Cat Flowers" TBT

Throw Back Thursday -
One aspect of working with a wonderful floral artist is getting the opportunity to capture images like these. Diane Mouton is the owner of Fat Cat Flowers and the following images are a great representation of her work. The first image showcases a beautiful floral sash! I captured these images with medium format film and a Mamiya 645 camera.  I just love how film gives that beautiful grain and low contrast for keeping the subtle yet colorful subject true to it's natural state.

The above image is a beautiful table design by Diane Mouton. I love the complementary colors and beautiful floral showcasing the long table and it's beautiful subjects at the end.  The wonderful light entering the huge room was a true delight to work in!  The venue is called Marche' and you have to experience it's beauty for yourself.  So many aspects of photography is being put to use in these images. I love deciding on the depth of field for the table image.  I wanted the image to be about the lovely couple at the end of the table. The leading colors from left to right is just about pointing to the couple.  You notice the beautiful flowers on the table but they are just enough out of focus to make your eyes stay on the couple.
