Food Photography Is Delicious!

New Orleans is known for it's food and I'm the happy guy who gets to photograph it.  Food is one of those subjects that is harder than you think to photograph.  Like weddings, the job is easier when you work with the best. I have seen so many talents chefs and their teams produce high quality food I was proud to capture.  I am always learning from people.  You look at the picture below and see the final product on the table.  What you don't see is all of the work that went into creating the end results.  Being good at your craft is only part of it.  Leading a team of people to help creating something awesome for your client is what it's all about.

I think sushi is the sexiest food to photograph.  The amount of art that goes into these dishes is amazing.  When you talk to a sushi chef they all say the same thing....time.    It takes a long time to become a great sushi chef.  When I see the sushi on a plate I know the talent that went into the creation in front of me.  If you want to be the best at anything it takes time.   I respect the time and I love seeing the results.
The next time you have a beautiful plate of food in front of you, think about the behind the scenes of how your meal was actually created and placed in front of you.
