I'm a true believer that Simplicity is King! I remember the days when I wanted to show you everything I can do in an image.  I mean use 3 lights, hit it with some fancy Photoshop then try and out do myself on every image.  That way of life is exhausting to say the least. Don't get me wrong, I love knowing how to do all of those things but lately I have fallen in love with my hashtag #SimpleCleanBeautiful   

If you have been following me for a while you notice the images I have been posting are Simple (Not over posed if any), Clean (No Photoshop, straight out the camera) and Beautiful (the lighting matches the mood of the image).  

 When did shadows become the bad guy?  Shadows are our best friend!  They make us look skinny, sexy, romantic, angry, sad, more defined etc...I can go on and on.  When was the last time you thought an image was amazing or moody because of the flash being used in the image?  just saying?   :)    Usually the contrast from dark to lighter is what becomes memorable, hence the use of shadows.  
So embrace the darkness and tame the light on your next creative image!
