Every day I have lots on my plate. I have developing, processing orders, social media posts, emails, archiving my clients and sessions. With so much to do sometimes staying motivated is difficult. After 2 decades I'm a staple here in New Orleans in many different fields of my industry. My commercial clients range from Marriott, Lakeside Shopping, etc. My weddings consists of brides from all around the country. MY high school seniors are so much fun and they also come near and far. The last 2 years we had a girl from Kansas and Illinois along with our many awesome girls from Louisiana.
Needless to say I'm a busy boy.
In order for me to stay motivated I always reflect on all the good things that happened to me or I did for someone else. The most important aspect of my job to me is the "Human Experience!" I have always based my craft on how I can be the best at what I do while creating a true human experience that nobody can duplicate. These days we call that "Good Customer Service." I call is "Being Real!"Lets face it...that beautiful plate of food I have to photograph was created by a chef who put some thought into the dish. It's important to me that I represent the chef in my creative imagery. The hotel room I Need to photograph has many hours of staff management talking about how to dress the room for marketing. The bride who has a wedding upcoming spent way too many hours on the planning and I need to capture imagery that best represents her thoughts and Ideas while telling the story of the day.In conclusion I stay motivated by following other creative artist on Instagram, Youtube, etc. I read an awesome positive blog called www.positivepops.com I DO NOT WATCH THE NEWS BEFORE I GO TO BED!!! All I see is negative stories so why subject yourself to that right before you go to sleep?
I listen to business books on Audible. I listen to good music on Spotify all day long. Lastly, I try to create something fresh with every single session I do. The evolution of any business is to always be evolving. If you are standing still people are passing you up! The following images are an example of all that I do. Stay Motivated!
